JIT News - IRIS, GPacket, MHB ...

IRIS: IRIS was also negotiating for Rimbunan Kaseh projects with the state government of Terengganu, Johor, Perlis, Sabah and Sarawak .

GPacket: It declined to comment over speculation about the sale of its broadband business. Describing the articles as "speculative in nature", the company's public communication policy was not to comment on such speculation.

MHB: It may make second provision year to Oct 2012 due for the Cendor floating production, storage and offloading project in the 3QFY2012 ended Sept 30 results. MISC Bhd awarded the contract to MHB in Aug 201 for topside fabrication, marine repair and conversion of two energy vessels. This is the second contract that MHB has provided for, after the rm5.6 billion Gumusut-Kakap floating production system project, which has been a drag on earnings. Initially, slated for completion in 2QFY2012, the FPS’ completion has been extended to mid FY2013.

MHB’s order book has been shrinking and it now (Oct 2012) stands at rm2.79 billion. While the gradual decline in order book was due to lack of capacity at MHB’s yard in Pasir Gudang, Johor and also the delay in the Gemusut-Kakap project, the current (Oct 2012) order book would only last until end of 2013.

New contracts are of paramount importance. Some capacity will free up in 2QFY2013 and see a pickup in contract flow over 4QFY2012 to 1QFY2013.
