JIT News - Maybank, AMedia ...


Maybank: It has put an end to speculation that it is keen on buying GE Capital’s 25% stake inThailand’s BOA. Maybank reiterated that the fresh funds raised from its recent share placement were not meant for a possible bid for BOA. Maybank also clarified that PNB did not participate in the private placement of 412 million shares to raise rm3.66 billion.

Maybank has emphasized that the proceeds from its private placement exercise will be used to strengthen its capital base and finance organic growth in the future.

AMedia: Bursa Malaysiaissued an UMA query 10 Oct 2012 morning, the second in a matter of weeks, on the decline of its shares.

AMedia posted a net profit of rm4.28 million on revenue of rm11.14 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2012. Its net assets per share stood at 30.61 sen.

Wong SK Holdings Sdn Bhd is the controlling shareholder with 41.47% equity interest, while TA Unit Trust Management Bhd wons 2.38% stake.
